Epoxy Roof Coating
Our flagship product, NovaTuff RC-100 Flexible Epoxy Roof Coating, is a fluid-applied roof coating system that provides a lasting waterproof barrier on your roof without the hassle and cost of tear-off and clean-up. Our epoxy roof coating system can be applied over your existing roof, which saves you at least 50% upfront of the cost of installing a new roof, and those are savings that will continue to grow over the life of your building.
Built Up Roofs and Modified Bitumen
A built up roof (BUR) is comprised of layers of reinforcing felt between asphalt or tar. The asphalt or coal tar is heated and liquified in a container and, then, mopped or applied with a mechanical spreader onto the substrate. If the asphalt is overheated, blistering and slipping between the felt sheets occurs, causing the roof system to age more rapidly.
One of the main problems facing building owners with a concrete roof is the material’s porous nature and tendency to crack. These cracks, micro-fissures and imperfections form on the surface and allow water to seep into the slab, which lead to leaks and can cause corrosion of the rebar that reinforces your concrete roof. In addition to leaks that damage the contents of the building, the structural integrity will be compromised over time if not taken care of.
IsoBoard and DensDeck
IsoBoard is a foam (Extruded Polystyrene) insulation board commonly used in new construction. These are then covered with DensDeck. The new substrate is then coated with a roof system, like a single-ply membrane or modified bitumen.
There are two main types of metal roofs: commercial (which includes R-panel, Corrugated, and Standing Seam) and historic. All metal roofs expand and contract as the substrate heats or cools, causing strain where the overlapped metal sheets are fastened. Eventually, the seams, overlaps and fasteners will begin to pull away from each other, allowing moisture to penetrate beneath the roof.
Polyurethane Foam Roof
Spray polyurethane Foam roofing is a popular roofing option that provides insulation benefits and longevity to the roof. It is sometimes used as part of a restoration system over built-up roofing. Spray polyurethane foam is often applied over an existing roof, forming a seamless and self-flashing layer which can prevent leaks.
